April 27 – May 1 marks Patient Experience Week, a national time of reflection and celebration for healthcare providers. At Vaughan Regional Medical Center, this week is about more than just high-quality medicine – it’s about the empathy, communication, and comfort that define your patient journey with us.

What is Patient Experience Week?

While our medical teams work year-round to provide top-tier clinical care, this week honors the "human side" of healthcare. It recognizes the healthcare professionals – from the bedside to the billing office – who impact the patient journey.

A Symphony of Care: It Takes a Team

A positive patient experience isn't a happy accident – it’s a coordinated effort. Every person you encounter at Vaughan Regional Medical Center and our affiliated services plays a vital role in your experience and healing. This includes:

  • Administrative staff, who streamline your check-in, reduce wait times, and make discharges as seamless as possible
  • Clinical teams, who provide expert treatment along with the empathy and education needed for you to feel comfortable in your health decisions
  • Environmental services teams, who ensure your environment is safe, sterile, and calming so that you can focus on your recovery
  • Nutrition and support, who deliver nourishment and the “small touches” that make a visit or hospital stay feel more like home

Your Voice is Our Greatest Tool

We strive for excellence, but we know that the best way to improve our care and service is by listening to you. Your feedback isn't just a "review" – it is the blueprint we use to improve our services and better support our community. We value your thoughts, because every patient’s voice matters.

As such, we’ve purposely stepped up our attempts to collect patient reviews to make your patient experience meet or exceed your expectations.

And we’re proud of our recent success. Vaughan Regional’s Primary Health Solutions was recently named to Reputation.com’s “800 Club,” which recognizes locations with consistent excellence across review sentiment, volume, and listings accuracy.

How You Can Participate

If a member of our team made a difference in your care, we’d love to hear about it! Whether it was a nurse who held your hand or a receptionist who went the extra mile, your stories fuel our mission.

Look for an email within 24 to 48 hours of your discharge as a patient. That email shares a link to Google and Facebook, where you can share a review of your experience with us as a patient.
