SELMA, Alabama (June 11, 2026) – The Vaughan Regional Medical Center (VRMC) Auxiliary announced today that ten students from Dallas County and surrounding Alabama communities have been selected as recipients of the 2026 Auxiliary Healthcare Scholarship Program. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of higher education in the healthcare field.

The VRMC Auxiliary Healthcare Scholarship Program is designed to strengthen the local healthcare workforce by supporting students enrolled in accredited two‑ or four‑year programs. The scholarship provides $1,000 per semester, renewable for students who maintain satisfactory academic progress. Applicants must typically hold a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate community involvement, and reside in the Selma region. Recipients are encouraged to begin their careers at Vaughan Regional Medical Center following graduation, with a one‑year employment commitment.
