Vaughan Regional Medical Center names new chief nursing officer

Selma, AL. - Vaughan Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce James "Jim" Wells will be joining our leadership team as Chief Nursing Officer, effective May 26. Jim joins the Vaughan family from LifePoint's sister facility Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, Arizona.
A native of Alabama, Jim is currently a participant in LifePoint's CNO Leadership Development Program. He had multiple responsibilities at Valley View, including serving as Assistant CNO, Quality, Risk and Resource Manager; and Executive Director of Medical Surgical Services. With more than 12 years of progressive nursing experience, Jim is dedicated to the provision of quality care, has a team focus, and is proficient in regulatory compliance issues.
Jim holds Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and is currently working to complete his Masters of Science in Nursing Education.
Prior to joining Valley View, Jim worked with Marlboro Park Hospital in Bennettsville, South Carolina, and Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, as well as a number of nursing homes. Among the recognition he's earned previously is the "Champion Award", given to employees at Baptist Hospital for going above and beyond the call of duty in providing care to the community.
Jim and his wife Kat have three children: Zack, age 20; Jake, age18; and Colby, age 17.
